Jordan's life mattered. He was loved and adored beyond measure. We were shocked and devastated the night he was taken from us. It was tragic and unfair, to say the least. It was a difficult 4 years waiting and wading through the judicial system. That's when I started The Jordan Rader Foundation. I wanted to help other families going through this horrible experience no one should have to go through. Parent's grief is misunderstood. Yes, the death of a child is devastating. But it also feels isolating and hopeless. And the guilt is enormous. Jordan was such a blessing. The Jordan Rader Foundation is the vehicle I created to bless others the best way I know how.
What do you call a parent who's child has a headstone? There are widows and orphans, but what about us? What do I say when someone asks if I have any children? It's been 22 years since Jordan's headstone was put here. I'm still working on these answers.
